The highest amount of Vitamin C in a bell pepper is concentrated in the red variety. Red bell peppers contain several phytochemicals and carotenoids. They are a fantastic antioxidant and anti-inflammatory food.
You will often read that greens are a super food, but one of the best greens of them all to help boost your immunity is broccoli. Broccoli is a great source of vitamins K and C, a good source of folate (folic acid) and also provides potassium, fiber. Fight off the cold and flu with garlic: Garlic has the ability to boost your immune system by increasing the rate at which your natural killer cells are made. Add garlic to meals!
It is loaded with nutrients and bioactive compounds that have powerful benefits for your body and brain. The micro nutrients in ginger are great for prevention and management even with the sickness strikes.
Greens such as spinach are immune-boosting due to their high levels of vitamin C, which not only packs a powerful antioxidant punch, it helps fight off infection and regenerate other antioxidants in the body, including vitamin E - important for healing and repair.
